Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Former President of India:

YOU say that our Government is inefficient.
YOU say that our laws are too old.
YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage.
YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke. The airline is the worst in the world, mails never reach their destination.
YOU say that our country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute pits.
YOU say that the System is corrupt. In such a dealing, Someone Gives, the Other Takes, both are to equally blame.

YOU say, say and say.

What is Your Role? And what do YOU do about it?

Leadership

All of Us are leaders in our own right; some successful, some not-very-successful, some unsuccessful. We need to be cautious of what constitutes Leadership, and its ground indicators.

NexGen is highly trainable. We must help them imbibe leadership traits , and help develop as 'fearless' leaders in whatever profession they choose.

  1. Dear Sir,
Your post on leadership is truly inspiring. It is really up to the individuals to lead from the front and help people.

I am Priyamvada, a resident of Rail Vihar. I am also a volunteer with an NGO called GOONJ. GOONJ in a voluntary organization (www.goonj.info) working towards collecting cloth and mobilizing this necessity to the needy.

We are looking to organize a collection camp of basic surplus household materials (these could range from old clothes, toys, books, newspapers, household utensils etc). This would coincide with the Independence Day celebrations, (14th, 15th and the 16th of August, 2009). GOONJ would be looking after all the logistics of the collection camp right from the communication material to transportation of the camp material.

It would be extremely motivating if people of Sector 33 - Noida, could join hands for this noble and selfless cause, and make this drive a success.

    Warm regards,
    Priyamvada
